Alamo Rescue Friends - ARFThe Alamo Rescue Friends (ARF) is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal welfare organization whose aim is to save lives by transporting dogs from high-kill shelters in San Antonio to safety with their shelter partners in New England, and to encourage the public’s involvement in rescue efforts.

The group also aims to make San Antonio a no-kill city through  foster programs, high volume/low-cost spay and neuter programs, effective adoption programs, volunteer program, Trap Neuter Return (TNR) programs for feral cats, and more.

They also work with other no-kill shelters in communities where there are more potential adopters than dogs that are available for adoption. This ensures that there is plenty of opportunity for each tail-wagging friend to eventually go home with a new forever family. The group mostly works with shelters in New England to guarantee that local dogs are not displaced to make room for dogs from San Antonio.

Those who wish to make a difference in the lives of furry friends in San Antonio can send their donations to PO Box 115, Weare, NH 03281 as well as through making safe credit card donations via PayPal.

ARF can be contacted through email at info@alamorescuefriends.org. For more information about this animal rescue group, please visit their website at www.alamorescuefriends.org.
