Animal Rescue of Texas (ART)The Animal Rescue of Texas (ART) is a non-profit and volunteer-based animal rescue group whose mission is to save lives, keep the community informed on humane education, provide training and loving treatment of companion animals, and find the best fit for both the animals in their care and potential forever families.

They consider foster homes as their most valuable resource since these are where the rescued pets are placed while they are awaiting adoption. Those who wish to open their doors to a foster pet or two are welcome to contact ART through phone or email.

Since they are a non-profit group, they rely on the help of generous benefactors who can fund medical expenses for the furry friends that they rescue. Their costs range from:

  • $25 for initial health screen for one animal
  •  $50 for 6-month supply of heartwork medication for one animal
  •  $75 for spay/neuter for one animal
  •  $100 for initial health screen, vaccinations, and heartworm test for one animal
  • $250 for heartworm treatment for one animal – a deadly but 100% preventable disease

People can donate any amount via PayPal.
