Guide Dogs of Texas is a non-profit group that provides furry companions to the visually impaired in the area. They provide specialized matching, training, and follow-up to ensure that each guide dog is paired with a human that best suits him or her. Each furry friend is specially bred, raised and trained to provide companionship and love to his owner.
At the heart of their service is the desire to inspire mobility and independence on visually challenged Texans. In order to provide the best guide dog to their clients, they rely on a dedicated group of puppy raisers who care for and socialize the furry friends while they are growing up.
They are accepting volunteers who can assist them in pursuing their mission. They are in need of community volunteers, client volunteers, puppy raisers, volunteers who can provide advanced training to guide dogs, and breeders. Learn more about these posts here.
