Humane Animal Rescue Team - HART of TexasThe Humane Animal Rescue Team (HART) of Texas is a non-profit and all-volunteer organization that provides foster care and adoption services for unwanted, neglected, abandoned, and homeless animals in the area. They work together with various shelters in their locality to save companion animals. They also maintain educational programs covering responsible pet care, the benefits of spaying and neutering, and treating animals humanely.

They are open for people who wish to dedicate their time and effort as volunteers. They can help through working at Adopt-A-Pet locations, through providing clerical work like making phone calls and sending emails, through transporting pets to veterinary offices, through using computer skills such as typing, making signs, banners, brochures and pamphlets, as well as through becoming Junior Volunteers (applicable for kids who are at least 14 years old).
