The Arizona Siberian Husky Rescue and Adoption, Inc. or ASHRA is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, volunteer-run organization whose aim is to rescue Siberian Huskies and place them into qualified homes. It also educates the public on the special needs that caring for a Siberian requires.
ASHRA urges those who are both unfamiliar and familiar with the Siberian Husky to visit its resource page at http://www.ashra.org. Provided therein are valuable learning resources for a better and more in-depth understanding of the different characteristics of the Siberian Husky.
ASHRA encourages those who are interested in being future dog owners to consider adoption. At present, there are a lot of unwanted dogs in shelters that end up either neglected or killed. Adoption will help these dogs get the best care that only a nurturing home can provide.
For those who want to contribute to the cause of helping Siberian Huskies, ASHRA has established an online store wherein the proceeds of each purchase will go directly to funding its initiatives. For sale are Siberian Husky-themed t-shirts and coffee mugs and artworks created by Arizona artist Debra Jones. ASHRA logo products like bumper stickers are also available.
ASHRA also accepts monetary and item donations. The fastest way to make a monetary donation is through ASHRA’s Paypal account. On the other hand, item donations made are sold during benefit garage sales. All donations made to ASHRA are tax deductible to the donor.
