Ken-Mar rescue is a non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to saving, rescuing, and re-homing “last day” dogs that would otherwise be euthanized in local shelters. They cater to the needs of small dogs throughout Southern California by finding and introducing them to their new forever families. They are 100 percent volunteer-based, donor-supported, cage-free, and foster-based. Their mission is to provide the best experience to the lives they save and to help them navigate their way home using a blend of compassion and technology.
The group strives with help fromgenerous members of the community. All donations are used to provide the best care for their rescues. This includes toys, dog treats, warm blankets, feeding bowls, ID tags, vaccines, collars, flea treatment, vet appointments, microchipping, dental cleaning, grooming, leashes, and more. Another way to help financially is through sponsoring an adoptable dog via the Guardian Angels program. Interested parties can make safe credit card donations via PayPal.
Moreover, people can also help save the lives of furry friends in need through fostering. Ken-mar will be providing all food, medical needs, linens, crates, collars, ID tags and leashes, and the foster family will be responsible for supplying the comfort and care needed by the dog in transitioning from shelter to home environment.
