NYC Feral Cat InitiativeNYC Feral Cat Initiative is an animal welfare organization dedicated to solving the problem of feral cat overpopulation in the city through humane and non-lethal methods like Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). They help raise awareness about feral and stray cats, inhibit the killing of healthy and treatable cats and dogs in local shelters, and improve the lives of cats currently living outdoors.

Some of their services include Loans & Rentals of Traps, Dividers & Cages, Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Programs, Feline Lecture & Workshop Series, Transport of Traps & Cats, Straw & Cat Food Giveaways, Information on TNR & Feral Cat Care, Advice by Phone or E-mail.

Volunteers are always welcome at NYC Feral Cat Initiative. Some of the volunteering opportunities they offer include helping street cats in people’s neighborhoods, fostering cats or kittens, and socializing/taming feral kittens.
