Ordinary Miracles Canine RescueOrdinary Miracles Canine Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals in San Antonio through rehabilitating and re-homing abused, unwanted, and abandoned small dogs from the streets and high-kill shelters in and around the city. Their mission is to raise awareness of the plight of companion canines in San Antonio and educate the public on responsible pet ownership, one foster and adopter at a time.

As a part of pursuing their mission of helping furry kind in the area, all the dogs that they rescue are given proper medical attention, are examined for any health complications, are vaccinated, are spayed/neutered, and are micro-chipped before being put up for adoption into new and loving forever homes.

Since they are a volunteer-based organization, they are open to individuals who wish to dedicate their time and effort to save more animals in the area. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Transporting pets to various locations
  • Performing house checks for potential adopters
  • Walking dogs
  • Organizing adoption events
  • Fostering rescued dog
  • Photographing events
  • Networking, donating, and raising funds for furry friends

People can also donate in cash via PayPal.

They can be contacted through mail at P.O. Box 201612, San Antonio, Texas 78220 as well as through email at ordinarymiracles@att.net. For more information about this group, please visit their website at http://www.omcr.org.
