Society for Companion AnimalsThe Society for Companion Animals (SCA) is a non-profit organization based in Dallas, Texas that aims to rescue stray animals from the streets and provide them with loving homes where they can happily live the rest of their lives.

They also educate the public, the government, as well as elected officials about the issues that pets encounter through publishing articles, hosting public awareness campaign, releasing documentaries, and putting up websites that help promote the humane treatment of animals. Additionally, they advocate proper veterinary care, as well as spaying and neutering of dogs and cats as a means of controlling animal overpopulation in the area.

As a charitable institution, they rely on the help of volunteers to help as many furry friends as they can. Some of the volunteering opportunities at SCA include fostering, assembling crates for dogs, and participating in the Operation Transport program.
