Street Tails Animal RescueStreet Tails Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization that aims to help unwanted, and the special needs animals in the area by helping them receive proper medical attention, educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering, and by placing these animals in suitable, compatible, and most of all, loving homes. It was founded in 2001 and it has played a vital role in rescuing animals in Philadelphia.

As a volunteer-driven animal rescue, they rely on helping hands to carry out the activities, chores, and events to fully serve the companion animals that they have rescued. They are not a “shelter” and the furry friends under their care are housed in foster homes that serve as a family that can help in their rehabilitation. Those who wish to volunteer can send an email to volunteer@streettails.org.

Street Tails holds weekly adoption events where interested parties can find the perfect new pet to take home. They also collaborate with other rescue groups and shelters in holding similar types of events.

Their office is located at 1030 N. 2nd St. #401 Philadelphia, PA 19123. They can be contacted through phone at 267.761.9434, through fax at 267.761.9496, or through email at lindsay@streettails.org. For more information, please visit their website at http://streettails.org.
