It was chartered as a humane society and was recognized as a not-for-profit group in 1979.

Under the group’s care, all rescued animals are examined and treated for medical problems and given necessary medical care, vaccinations, and spayed or neutered if appropriate. They are also provided with provide shelter and food until anew and loving home is found for them.

People who wish to help the organization in their mission of saving the lives of furry friends in need can do so through donating via PayPal. The funds given by generous members of the community are used for spaying or neutering, necessary vaccinations, tests, and treatments for any medical concerns, food and shelter. They are not subsidized by any government or private agency.
