apraThe simple fact is that Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption (APRA) has too many cats and dogs. We are a no kill animal shelter that takes in sick pets, injured animals and strays that need families. To continue to offer our services, we need you to adopt, foster a pet or donate a contribution to help pay for surgeries, medical care, shots and food.

Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption

Adopting Pets

You can find lovable pets that need adopting on our website, our shelter or at Petco. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Sundays for adoptions and is located at 4874 South Atlanta Road SE in Atlanta, Georgia. Pets in foster care can be seen at Petco on weekends.

Fostering

Although, we keep some pets at our shelter, we try to get cats and dogs into foster care to provide them with loving attention and socializing.

We really need foster families willing to take care of injured or sick pets and help to socialize healthy animals. All medical care and food is supplied by us, so your main responsibility is to provide a happy and healthy home for pets.

Donations

We are very appreciative of recurring donations that help to cover all the medical services and extras needed for pets that aren’t included in adoption fees.

APRA always needs volunteers to work in the shelter, and we thank you for your support.
