new beginnings rescue2New Beginnings Animal Rescue is a non-profit group dedicated to finding good homes for unwanted pets that are at high risk of euthanasia in Liberty County’s Animal Control. Its mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of cats and dogs through rescue, spay/neuter and education programs.

They are always looking for energetic, positive people to volunteer and help make the lives of shelter animals better. Volunteer opportunities include:

Interested parties who wish to make a difference in the lives of animal in need can donate items from the group’s wish list including:

  • bleach & laundry
  • detergent
  • towels & blankets
  • bowls
  • collars & leashes
