Brambley Hedge Rabbit RescueBrambley Hedge Rabbit Rescue is a non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to caring for abused, abandoned, and unwanted domestic rabbits. The organization works together with county agencies to check on abuse situations and act as expert witnesses for trials. In addition, they offer humane traps to the general public to capture stray rabbits.

They are a volunteer-based organization that values the help of the community in attaining their goals. Some of the ways to help the group include:

  • Checking references, introducing animals, interviewing applicants, and making follow-up calls for adoptions.
  • Caring for shelter animals through changing or washing litter pans, sweeping and mopping the floors, cleaning cages, and feeding.
  • Fostering special needs animal especially those that are aggressive or have health/behavioral issues.
  • Doing laundry for rescued furry friends.
  • Participating and assisting during adoption events.
  • Participating in special projects such as helping solicit donations, building our donor base, recruiting volunteers, helping with the newsletter, and/or assisting with ongoing fundraising efforts.
  • Transporting pets to vet appointments.
