Coastal Animal Rescue is s a non-profit animal welfare group whose mission is to place rescued cats and dogs into loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe and loving home for unwanted cats and dogs in a unique, cage-free environment; to prevent pet over-population through spaying and neutering; and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.
Apart from this, they also feed feral cat colonies from Georgetown to Little River. They also have a TNR program for these creatures.
Moreover, they provide homes to cats with AIDS and Leukemia.
As a non-profit group, they rely in the generosity of community members in order to provide for the needs of the animals under their care. Interested parties can donate items such as:

- Canned Cat and Kitten Food
- Trash Bags (drawstring) kitchen and construction
- Large Towels
- Postage Stamps
- Cat Beds
- Pillow Cases
- Pee Pads for Puppies
