Downtown Dog Rescue (DDR) is a non-profit animal welfare group that rescues dogs and provide services for low income pet owners in under served communities in Los Angeles County. The group believes in giving second chances to both animals and people and so they work tirelessly to meet this end.
As a volunteer group, they rely on the help of community members to carry out mission. People can help by donating financially or the benefit of the companion animals under the group’s care. Any donated amount is greatly appreciated and will go directly to providing for the needs of the dogs they cater to including vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neuter surgery, medical services, training dogs with behavioral issues, and more.
DDR also needs help in other functions including adoption events, transport, at the NKLA Adoption Team, Fostering and Photography. Those who wish to volunteer their time and effort in these capacities can fill out the form found at http://downtowndogrescue.org/volunteer-application/.
The group can be reached through mail at PO Box 90035, Pasadena, California.
