The Detroit Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) consists of 100 wonderful volunteers who are dedicated to helping all animals in need. Although based in Romeo, Michigan they reach out to communities like Detroit to help neglected, sick, and homeless animals. They have a beautiful 25-acre farm with a dog kennel, heated barn for farm animals and many enclosures for wildlife rehabilitation.
DAWG is a 501 C3 non-profit no-kill animal rescue taking in animals in need. They are regulated by MDARD, USDA, USFW and DNR. Education and enrichment are paramount.
