Frankie’s Fund for Feline Care and Rescue is a non-profit animal welfare group dedicated to promote the welfare of abandoned elderly and special needs cats by finding homes either through adoption or through senior to senior foster program. As part of their work, they also assist the elderly as well as low income cat owners with their veterinary expenses.
The organization is New Hope Partner with Animal Care & Control and an Alliance Participating Organization with the Mayor’s Alliance for New York City’s Animals.
They encourage the community to take part in their mission of helping senior cats. Since they are an independent group, they rely on the generosity of the public in order to make a difference in the lives of as many feline friends as possible.
Interested parties can help through adopting one of their senior sweeties. A list of available companions can be found on the Frankie’s Fund website.
For people who cannot fully commit to providing a permanent home to the adorable cats under the group’s care but are still willing to open up a room in their house and in their hearts for a kitty, they can still help through becoming a foster family until a suitable adoptive home is found for them.
In addition, people can also make safe credit card donations via PayPal.
