The Hinsdale Humane Society is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and adoption of homeless animals. They advocate education and public service to encourage the compassionate treatment of animals and to prevent their suffering and neglect. They are also a voice for companion animals who are dependent on people for their care and believe they are entitled to our respect and protection.
Interested parties can help the group by donating items such as gift cards from pet stores such as PetSmart, PetCo, and Pet Supplies Plus, warehouse clubs such as Sam’s Club and Costco, as well as grocery stores such as Jewel. People can also donate items such as kitty litter, canned cat food, puppy pads, laundry and cleaning supplies, liquid bleach, high efficiency laundry detergent, paper/plastic goods, toilet paper, paper towels, and postage stamps.
