Rescue Bank is a non-profit organization committed to supporting the animal rescue and rehabilitation community with much-needed supplies and services. The group operates on a food bank model where they collect and redistribute surplus pet supplies and donations in order to help make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
Their mission is to support animal rescue and rehabilitation groups through providing services that will help make them more self reliant as well as to improve the standards of care provided to furry friends in the area. They strive to identify and solicit donors for everyday supplies needed to keep animals healthy in rescue homes.
Their services include improving their member groups’ abilities to deliver services and secure needed resources, assistance with administrative issues such as establishing and maintaining tax-exempt status, donation collection, warehousing and distribution services, and grants for spay/neuter, emergency veterinary care and prosthetic devices.
Members of the community are urged to help keep companion animals happy and healthy in rescue facilities while they are still waiting for their new forever home. As low as $18 can help distribute 200 pounds of cat/dog food or treats, $40 can help 450 – 500 pound 1/2 pallet of food, while $80 can distribute a 900 – 1000 pound pallet of food. Safe credit card donations can be made via PayPal.
