Mighty Mutts and Ollie’s Place is a non-profit, and no-kill animal rescue organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating the strays of New York City. They work tirelessly to take in furry friends that are starving, and in desperate need of veterinary care.
Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home all the animals they take in. Those that haven’t been adopted due to health or behavior issues live peacefully in their no-kill facility.
All cats and dogs under their care have received full vaccinations, have been checked by veterinarians, have been spayed/neutered, and have been screened for FIV and FeLV prior to being put up for adoption.
Aside from adopting pets from this rescue group, people who wish to make a difference in the lives of furry kind can also volunteer at the center, foster an animal until it gets a forever home, donate funds that will go to providing food and medical care for the animals, running the adoption center, and other operational costs, sponsor a cat or a dog, or shop at their store and save an animal.
Mighty Mutts can be found at Southwest corner of Union Square Park (14th Street and Union Square West) and in the Petco – Union Square (860 Broadway, New York, NY 10003). On the other hand, Ollie’s Place is at 430 E. 9th St, New York, NY 10009 on 9th Street between Ave A and 1st Ave, in the East Village.
