The North Shore Animal League America is a New York-based animal rescue group dedicated to rescuing, nurturing, and placing companion animals into loving homes. They aim to become the largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization, an innovator in animal welfare, a strong voice, elevating the status and promoting the acceptance of mixed-breed animals, and a trusted source for information, education, and resources that increase adoptions and enhance the lives of adopters and their pets.
As a part of their mission of saving furry kind, they rescue pets from overcrowded shelters, unwanted litters, and from owners who can no longer care for them. Moreover, they provide innovative programs, education, mobile programs, and partnerships in order to raise awareness in shelter animals which leads to increased adoptions in the future. In addition, they also provide mixed-breed shelter pet awareness and spay/neuter initiatives to their comprehensive education efforts in order to reduce unwanted births and to reduce euthanasia in the area.
Their office is located at 25 Davis Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050. They can be contacted through phone at (516) 883.7575. They can also be contacted through email at firstname.lastname@example.org for adoptions and at email@example.com for information on their Pet Health Center.
