Operation Pets Alive is a non-profit animal welfare group dedicated to increasing community awareness and community involvement regarding the No-Kill Movement and the plight of homeless dogs and cats in the community.

To achieve its mission of elevating Montgomery County to a No-Kill Community, the group promotes programs that not only inform the public but also help reduce the number of companion animals entering shelters and to increase the number of furry friends leaving shelters alive. This includes treatment of treatable animals, training, adoption, foster, and rescue. Moreover, they also promote spay and neuter, reclaim, retention and re-homing.

The group takes pride in their Community Adoption Program which includes off-site adoptions, community involvement, spay/neuter, behavioral modification, medical support, pet retention guidance, pet re-homing support, and value for money.

Community members who wish to aid the group can do so by making a donation, fostering a pet, volunteering at events, helping with TNR efforts, helping educate the community about the importance of spaying and neutering, helping with admin tasks, donating items from their wish list, sponsoring a dog, becoming a Facebook fan, or helping with the website. Interested parties can send an email to info@OperationPetsAlive.org to express their intent to help out.
