Pickens Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization whose mission is to find good, loving homes for the abandoned and abused animals in the community; and to reduce the problem of pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs.

All pets under their care are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. They are also microchipped for identification.

Interested parties can also help through donating items such as bleach, latex gloves, canned pet food, dog and cat treats, litter boxes, dog collars and leashes, fog and cat beds, cat beds, small cat toys, dog houses, flea sprays, dog shampoo, towels and wash cloths, hand sanitizer, binder clips, Kleenex, and more.

People can also make safe credit card donations via PayPal.

Moreover, members of the community can make a difference in the lives of animals in need through purchasing from their Rescued Furniture Thrift Store located at 371 N. Main Street – Jasper, Georgia 30143.

They have a Rescue Ranch located on 6 acres in Talking Rock which offers temporary housing for fifty dogs and thirty cats awaiting permanent adoption.

They can e reached through mail at P.O. Box 45, Jasper, GA 30143, through their Help Line at (706) 692-2772, and through email at parinfo@pickensanimalrescue.org.
