Florida Dachshund Rescue, Inc. (FLDR) is a non-profit group dedicated to restoring sick Dachshunds back to health and to giving orphaned tail-wagging friends a second shot at having a happy family. As an organization, it works together with rescue people throughout the area who share a common love and appreciation for the breed.
They urge the community to be a part of their advocacy. Interested parties can help through the following means:
- Opening their homes permanently or temporarily to a canine friend through adopting or fostering.
- Sponsoring a doxie who may need special attention and care.
- Doing volunteer work and helping with transporting dogs to and from vet appointments, assisting with application processing, conducting home visits, participating during special events, and so much more.
- Helping augment the cost of medical treatment for dogs, spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and more through donating financially. These funds can be mailed to:
